What do We Offer?
Currently we offer a Team Based League and an Indiviual League, both described in detail below:
Team Based Play
A more traditional type of dart league, our Monday Night Team based league pits teams of 4-10 against each other over a long season. See some details below:
- The League is free for players to join and play. Sponsor Bars pay the league dues for the teams!
- Teams are between 4-10, though at least 6 are recommended to avoid going insane.
- Teams are placed in Divisions of comparable skill and a Home/Away type schedule is created.
- All matches take place on Monday Nights at local sponsor Bars
- Scoresheets are mailed in each week and statistics and standings are updated. We keep a lot of statistics for your number crunching minds... Currently we play 301, 401, 501, 601, and both Singles and Doubles Cricket. Check out our Forms page for the current Match Sheet
- This is an ideal league if you are new to darts or are into the sport mainly for its social aspects. Dart matches are a relaxed, mildly competitive way to go out with your friends, let off some steam, and have a good time
- We do NOT make teams drive to every corner of Long Island and Queens, but while our League spans a decent distance, we keep our divisions fairly local
- There are three Seasons per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Spring and Fall are long, 14-15 week seasons followed by playoffs. The Summer Season is a kickaround 6 week season designed to keep people playing and try new teams.
- The Fall and Spring Seasons are followed by epic Award Parties!
- Awards are plaques and bragging rights. Along with a lot of memories from the good times playing darts, occassionally there are pictures. We encourage you sending us some of the good ones to post!
Individual League Play
We have also started an individual league. This league is for the more competitive players out there. Based on an English dart League, the Whyte and Mackay Premier League, this format is a ton of fun.
- Ever wanted to stand on your own and not have to rely on a team? Ever been frustrated at how few games you play a night on a Team? If so, this league is for you!
- Players are grouped by skill into 6 person divisions. Alternatively, a group of 6 people may join together and be their own division if they would prefer.
- Each night, you play only ONE opponent. You play your opponent 3 games of Straight-On 501 and 3 games of Cricket. This ensures that everyone plays 6 games per night.
- Over 5 weeks, you will have played everyone in your division in a 5 week round-robin. The top shooters in both 501 and Cricket then move on to Final Tournaments.
- The Final Tournaments carry with them not only Plaques and Bragging Rights, but also Sponsorships to ADO Regionals. The current ADO Regional entry is $110 and a good showing there can lead to a National Final. Not bad a bad opportunity for playing in a free league, huh?
- The Individual League is currently run twice a year, in the Summer and in the Winter.
