ADO News and Tidbits
Um....What is the ADO?
The ADO is the American Darts Organization. This is the Unites States' major Dart Organization. They operate, essentially, as a sanctioning agent. Dart leagues around the country join the ADO and gain the benefits thereby granted. The ADO also holds a series of Regional Playoffs and National Finals that can in turn lead to a chance at International Darts.
If you follow darts at all, by the way, the US hasn't been showing up too well on the international circuit lately, so lets get going here!
What should I know about the ADO?
As a player in the PDL, you are granted many of the benefits of the ADO. You may use your affiliation with us to play in ADO
Sanctioned Tournaments around the country to gain Championship points (local ones are generally in Ronkonkoma).
We are in Region 5-3, a heck of a region with some extremelly
talented players.
Our official League abbreviation for the ADO is "PLYRS". If you haven't gotten out to see these ladies
and gents, make sure you do next time a tourny comes around. We'll have that information on our Calendar Page.
Also, in addition to Sanctioning some of the tournaments run by its members for championship points, they hold their OWN for a chance
at the national title. To get to these, you can either pay $880 or place highly enough in the 5-3 Regional, which is $110.
PDL sponsors players through our individual league as well as
tournaments held throughout the year. Be on the lookout for
opportunities to play some of the best shots in our areas just for
playing in our free league or small entry free tournys.
